God's Promises to His Children:
THE PROMISE:
PHILIPPIANS 4:6-7[AMP]
Do not fret(take no thought) or have any anxiety about anything, but in every
circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with
thanksgiving(gratitude), continue to make your wants known to God. And God's peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of
its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being
content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which
transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard (protect) over your
hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
THE CONFESSION:
Thank you Abba Father that I can continually come to you with my specific needs and rely on Your abilities to keep my mind, will, and emotions at perfect rest in you. Enable me NOT to stress, worry, or fear about anything that may come my way.Help me to leave every want, need, and desire at your feet while I wait hopeful in expectation for your answer. Thank you that you have an answer for every situation I will ever encounter so I don't have to rely on myself or my own capabilities. Thank you that you have answers and solutions and means far beyond what my mind could possibly conceive or even dream of! Allow me to have a deeper revelation of total trust in you so I can truly walk in faith and not by sight the way You intended for us to live! In JESUS' Name I pray AMEN!
THE PROMISE:
1 CORINTHIANS 13:4-8 [AMP]
Love endures long and
is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy,
is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.It is not conceited
(arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does
not act unbecomingly. Love (God's love in us) does not insist on its
own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy
or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it
pays no attention to a suffered wrong].It does not rejoice at injustice and
unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.Love bears up under anything
and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every
person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures
everything [without weakening].Love never fails [never fades out or becomes
obsolete or comes to an end]. As for prophecy (the gift of interpreting the divine
will and purpose), it will be fulfilled and pass away; as for tongues,
they will be destroyed and cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away
[it will lose its value and be superseded by truth].
THE CONFESSION:
Thank you Lord for your perfect love in me that enables me to love others how you love me. I thank you that I have the ability to take authority over the emotions in me that would have me operate outside the circle of love. Thank you that I do not let my emotions rule in any circumstance that comes my way or attempts to move me outside of love. Help me to continually receive and grow in your perfect agape love and keep my heart pure from any motive that is not rooted in love; for I know anything I do outside of love is meaningless to you.Thank you for empowering us with the weapon of love that conquers selfishness in ourselves as well as others. Enable me to endure longer without weakening[ becoming bitter, angry, resentful, and unforgiving towards others] because I know it will only hurt me and distance myself from you. Thank you Father for defending me and being my justifier. Thank you Lord for your unfailing love towards me and for forgiving me time and time again. In JESUS' NAME I pray AMEN!
THE PROMISE:
JEREMIAH 29:11
"For I know the plans(thoughts) I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper ( flourish, thrive, grow, advance) you and NOT to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future(peace and welfare)."
THE CONFESSION:
Thank You Father that you are good all the time and that you always have me and my best interests on the forefront of your thoughts! Thank you that I can rest in you and be confident of my future that you have established for me; even while I was in my mothers womb. I am confident that any harm or hurt is not from you, as that is not your plan for my life!Enable me to walk in YOUR will for my life and not be sidetracked or distracted my by own agendas that were not ordained by you, in JESUS' name I pray AMEN!
THE PROMISE:
2 TIMOTHY 1:7
For God did not give us
a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning
fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm
and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.
THE CONFESSION:
Thank you Father that when the spirit of fear attacks my mind I know that those are not my own thoughts and that you have fully equipped my spirit to resist it. I know you have given me a spirit of LOVE which always conquers FEAR, according to your Word Lord. Thank you for giving me a spirit of power, which gives me the ability to perform what you require of me; as well as a sound mind that keeps ALL my thoughts in line with your Word. I repent for every decision I have made in the past out of fear and I will no longer be moved by ANY type of fear in Jesus' name, Amen!
THE PROMISE:
JAMES 1:5-8
If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man(ambivalence), unstable in all he does.
THE CONFESSION:
Father, I repent for every careless word and prayer spoken in doubt or unbelief. I repent for every time I blamed you for my prayers not being answered. I know now your Word says an ambivalent man receives NOTHING and is UNSTABLE in EVERYTHING. I will only speak words of life for myself, my loved ones, and my circumstances in Jesus' name. If it does not line up with the Word of God I will not speak it. Every prayer I offer will be in faith, and my faith will NOT waiver no matter what I see or hear. I will continue to stand on Faith until my request comes to pass! Thank you Father that you are always teaching and helping us grow in you in Jesus' name AMEN!
THE PROMISE:
1 JOHN 3:2-3
Dear friends, now we our children of God, and what we will be (in the near future) has not yet been made known (we our not fully aware of our final purpose or destiny). But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is. (When we finally see Him who is Truth we will finally KNOW truth and therefore know ourselves!)Everyone who has this HOPE in him purifies himself, just as He is PURE.
THE CONFESSION:
Thank you Father that I am(above everything else) your child.
Therefore, I do not see myself through carnal eyes I strive to see
myself through spiritual eyes, which is what the WORD of GOD says about
who I am and what I am to be! Even if I don't intellectually "know" my
specific"calling" or "purpose", I am confident that I have a specific
purpose and calling that will be revealed and fulfilled in the near future! As I am getting to know Jesus I know that I am also really getting to know my TRUE self! Thank you Jesus that as I get to know you more and more, my confidence grows in you; and as I spend more time with you I am also purifying(cleaning out the filth in my heart) myself in Jesus' name. Amen.
THE PROMISE:
HEBREWS 13:5-6
Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content [ with circumstances and with what you have] with what you have, because God has said,"Never will I leave you [abandon, give you up, leave you without support]; never will I forsake you.[ He will never let you down in any way]" So we say with confidence,"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.What can man do to me?"
THE CONFESSION:
I am a covenant child of the Most High: therefore I am confident in every situation that I am NEVER alone; no matter what I am seeing or hearing or feeling I shall not be moved [effected in my thoughts or emotions] and I will not submit to fear because if the Lord God Almighty is ALWAYS with me and for me, NOTHING and NO ONE can come against me or my situation that will succeed at causing harm to me in Jesus' name! Amen!
